Tiny Hands International has been called to the orphaned or abandoned of South Asia. James 1:27 reads, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” We take great pleasure in serving forgotten and unloved children by placing them in loving, Christian families and giving them every opportunity to not only survive, but to thrive in their local communities. Tiny Hands currently operates children’s homes in Nepal, India, and Bangladesh.
- Small Homes: We believe in limiting home sizes in order to create a family-like atmosphere. This allows the house parents to give personal attention to each child, to make sure that all needs are met, and to make each child feel special.
- Wonderful Parents: We take great care in selecting house parents who will be nurturing and comforting and who will view each child as their own. Visitors to our homes frequently cannot distinguish the orphaned children from those naturally born to the parents, and we find great joy in this.
- Whole Child Development: While nutrition, shelter, and basic education are important things, we believe that children have fertile minds in need of cultivation to develop wonder, creativity, and ability.
The majority of the children in our homes did not come from the streets. They were abandoned, orphaned, or in situations where they could not be cared for. By finding children from these situations early, we hope to prevent children from ending up on the streets, where the situation is simply tragic.
We do have two homes specifically for children brought directly from the streets: Cyrene Home and Dhaka Rescue Home.
